RX8 Cranks but takes too long to start
Hi I’m new to owning an RX8 I have a 2006 RX8 and currently I ran into an issue where it will crank but sometimes it won’t even start until I’ve left it alone for a few minutes or if I press the gas a bit when it’s cranking then it starts sometimes, because after it’s finally running there’s no issues everything works fine and it works well but it’s when I have to get the car started where the issue is because recently I got an oil change on it and the same day I had that done a couple hours later it started having that problem so I was wondering if anyone knows what the problem could be or any tips, I would really appreciate the help

First: welcome to the club
Second: read the new owners thread then read it ten more times no really, read this !!
Third: when you make a help me thread put all of the info about the car that you can, mileage, mileage on the engine, any and all mods, year, transmission type, etc.
Fourth: there can be a lot of reasons why it will have a hard time starting, the most common is low engine compression. again you can read all about this in the new owners thread.

Yes please read up and you will be amazed to how many questions you will be able to answer for yourself.
It could be a lot of things but it is indicative of low compression (hot start issues). Might do you well to check your oil level also..
Best of luck! Please read and watch videos on YouTube about rotary engines in general if you’re unfamiliar!
