Rx8 is not doing anything (solved)
So i got this rx8 a while back, got it runing and driving, fast forward a month i just got the body kit complete, now im gonna post this exactly as it happened,
car is locked, i go up to the trunk and was reaching for a tool on the roof, car alarm triggers from pressure on trunk i guess, so i grab my keys and all the fob wont stop the alarm or unlock the door, fob worked fine before this, so i unlocked the door with my key and put my key in the ignition, my dash is going crazy, blue illumination light flashing, gauged going up and down, so i disconnect the battery and reconect the batter, now when i go to start the car it doesnt do anything, when i put the key back into the off position the needles move back and forth 7 times and my lights flash seven times in short flashes, about 1 per second, anyone know what the hell this could be??

The trunk lid has a wiring harness going through it for the 3rd brake light that's a bit problematic. With time and with opening/closing of the trunk, wires in the harness are liable to break or rub through, which can cause weird shorts. Usually your 3rd brake light stops working without further drama, but given the description, I'd at least check that harness out.
Otherwise, it sounds like the battery was reconnected backwards (positive to negative), or the connections on the battery are loose/dirty/poor. Could be a bad relay, but I struggle to think which relay all the affected systems have in common.
