hey, so first thread. it would be kinda rad not to get jumped on but here goes.
from what i can tell the most popular oem seats in the rx8 is the two tone leather. but i have encountered a few with cloth seats.
if im totally honest, iv never been a fan of leather seats. but cloth seems pretty hard to find.
now armed with the fact that most people enjoy leather seats, im stuck wondering if the cloth OEM seats are a hot commodity. or if their scarcity is limited to a small group considering them selves unlucky.
put simply: cloth OEM RX8 seats.
do we all like them, or can i brighten somebody's day with the offer of a trade?
Base model comes with cloth seats. Leather comes with most of the upgraded trim levels, and dealers enjoy the higher profit of upgrades.
Personally, I prefer cloth. I've got a base and was really happy that's what the dealer had in stock. Higher trims usually have a sunroof, something I'd also rather not have. You'd need to check the year by year packages to see the break point.
The Touring also came with cloth and I also do not like the two tone leather and it doesn't hold up well. This is my 12 year old cloth interior in my 2004 Touring. My orginal steering wheel was pretty beat up so it was replaced with an Autoexe steering wheel.
