A sad day has come for me. I didn't know much at all about rotary engines when I bought my RX-8 with 85k miles back in September. I looked up proper maintenance and care for the car (Oil changes, warming up, cooling down, driving her hard once warmed up (I kept it under 4k for about 7 mins until the engine itself was warmed and redlined it at least once a drive)). I've grown to love the car and everything about it. Then, one day, it started losing power after she warmed up, and was hard to crank hot. Then one time, she didn't crank hot. Compression. I can't afford a rebuild at this time, and I don't know if I even have the heart to. Any suggestions? If I have to sell her, what would you sale a '05 with 87k miles, well kept, with a brand new paint job for?
