Series 1 vs Series 2 tach color question

I'm in the market for an RX-8 and have learned A LOT from this site. however I've come across a question that I cannot find the answer. Can Series 2 RX-8 tachometer turn red when turning on exterior lights?

I checked a 2005 Owner's Manual and on page 5-35 it does mention if you turn the dimmer up all the way, the tach red illumination turns back to white. The 2010 Owner's Manual does not mention this, so I'm guessing the tach is always white?

Just find someone on Facebook or Instagram with an S2 and ask them then you will find out for sure. But I think it stays the same

Can confirm that mine was always white no matter the brightness.

Own both. No changing lights on S2. Just brightness.

I'm curious why you previously thought that the lights changed. Where did you hear that?
