Unhappy serious flooding problem

hey there i have an 05 bought it with 94xxx on it its now up to 98xxx and as of lately its been giving me serious flooding issues. it kind of did when id ride it hard when i first got it 3 months ago but now its to the point if i start it let it warm and try to pull out and stalls it wont start back up. the only things ive done to it was dewalled the intake, k&n drop in filter, took a screen out the non crucel one, changed the oil once, and put an agency power midpipe on it, and started a premix regimant in it. To my knowledge the plugs have never been changed in its lifetime and neither have the coils but thats just my only guess as to what it could be. Compressions still good has all the power when it runs and cold starts right up. any help would be fantastic cause i wouldnt want to dump money into coils and plugs if theyre worthless and wont fix the problem. thanks for any help you can provide!!

Flooding is caused by low compression and bad ignition system. It could be any combination of the two. The mid pipe is a help since you now have no cat to clog and kill your engine. Was the cat cloged or broken when you replaced it? With that many miles and unknown ignition you should start with a compression test to see if the engine is good or not. If it comes back good then replace the coils wires and plugs.

There is a very small chance your car is still under warranty. Call Mazda immediately and ask if it might be. 8 year 100k miles. The 8 year is based off of the sale date to the first owner.

thats what i had been reading about the low compression so its been sitting since its started doing this cause i didnt want to do futher damage, and as for calling mazda i have one local dealer what should i say to them? since ive never really taken a car there i dont know how to go about it ive always done my own work. and my buddy has a compression tester and went to wyotech and is pretty good with little **** like that so ill ask him and see whats up with that if the compression is good though just do the ignition replacements then? and the cat was not clogged nor broken actually in really nice shape i was surprised from some of the horror stories ive read on here i was looking at the worst but came out with the best i just never wanted to have that happen so that was the first thing i replaced.

Compression needs to be tested with a rotatory-specific compression tester. Your buddy probably has a regular compression tester. Some of the seasoned rotary experts can get useful approximate results with one of those, but you really need to go to a Mazda dealer or rotary specialist who has the right tester.

Hard start when hot is a symptom of low compression.

Just go to the dealer, tell them the symptoms and say that you need a compression test. You might browse through the good guy/bad guy forum to see if your dealer has been discussed one way or the other.

Since the cat did not look bad it points more to low compression. You need to get that rotary compression test done for 100-200 dollars before throwing in ignition and then realizing its bad compression.

Also when you call them ask when the warrenty expires on the car.
