I bought a transmission out of a 2004 and it came with out the shifter. I bought a shifter out of a unknown year car and the shifter doesn't seem to fit in my transmission. Just wondering if the shifters are year specific or not?

04-08 6spd shifters should all be the same. 09+ are different. in europe and japan they also made 4 port engines with a 5spd m/t
