Starts problems? Or just over thinking
Just need quick thoughts. Some of yall probably know me, but my situation was new Reman 3k Miles ago, also got new plugs/wires/coils with that. Okay, so after driving the car semi-hard for 30 minutes+, if I go to gas up(car is off for 2-3 minutes), it takes about 1.5- maybe 2 seconds to start. But If I go into Walmart or a store for 7-15 minutes, it starts quicker, at about .7-1.5 seconds? Low compression maybe? Or normal, thanks.
And premixing. Also the engine I had before, you could tell the low end power was sluggish, the power on low end, especially under operating temp is still amazing

But def a bit of noticed difference if the car is off for 2 minutes versus 10 minutes

Original for an 08 could mean N3H1A (upgraded)
You would want the N3Z1 <13 tooth 2kw starter
Or even more so the N3R3 <14 tooth 2kw.
Your fuel pump is also getting to where it needs to be done. Especially since you premix.

Thanks for the reply, I'm about to give it an oil change this Thursday, and a coolant flush in a couple weeks. So you think I'm just over thinking it, since the low end power is still good. Also, should I ride this starter out and wait until I do end up getting the compression test before the warranty is up? As for the fuel pump, I'll put that on my list to do also within 2-3k miles then

Starters can make a world of difference, as can fuel pumps.
A rebuilt motor can take a bit more than 4k to break in properly. After this initial break in your compression scores will actually rise.
If I were you I would replace the fuel pump, change the oil coolant and at least check on the starter. The N3R3 sell for 200$ now if you google.
But, as long as your hot starts aren't getting any worse and you continue to maintain it, it sounds normal and you being paranoid.

Paul(MazMart) is a very good guy and could help with just about any parts you could need.
If your staying NA just grab an OEM from Paul. If your planning FI in your future I would say contact Charles at BHR for a DW200
Hope that helps

Wow ! So I am not the only one.
I have the same kind of issue. When cold, my cars starts in under 1 sec. After driving it for a bit (semi hard) it takes the same about 1 - 1.5 secs to start.
Recently, my fuel pump gave in so had to get a new Walbro 255. But I started noticing this issue after i got a new fuel pump and coils. I must mention that when my fuel pump gave in I used to spend a long time cranking the engine to get it going for atleast 2 weeks. Some times just cranking it for 20-30 minutes in 8-10 seconds burst. It became an evening ritual. I think I stressed my starter and its weakened now (I hope that's the case )
PatriotJJ: Keep me posted if notice something else or the situation worsens.
How is a warm/hot starter different from a cold one ? Once the car is fired-up, the engine is running; does the starter even come in picture ? I thought it spins only during the start and stops when we are driving. So how can we say a warm/hot starter may cause starting issues ?
