Steering wheel noise when turning?

Hello everybody. 2007 JDM with 30,000 miles. I have searched but found nothing that sounds quite like this.

I'm getting a weird whirring/rubbing sound when turning the steering wheel. It sounds like... Imagine dragging your fingernail over your shirt. Or zipping a zipper. Something like that. I've attached a video. There's also a clicking sound. I think it might be the clockspring.

I must also add that I have very little steering feedback. I don't feel any imperfections of the road through the steering wheel. It's pretty numb. I normally grab the door handle when going over rough roads to try and notice if I'm actually getting some feedback from the steering. But I feel the same feedback through the door handle. Meaning - the feedback I get from my steering is basically car/suspension feel. I've cleaned the power steering connectors. I think that improved the feedback a little. But it's still numb. My old mazda 3 has much better steering feedback.

What do you guys think this could be?
