Suspension question
Hello, I am fixing up a 2004 Rx-8 I bought recently. The stock suspension is toast, and I am looking at replacing it. I know a lot of people are recommending the Koni yellows or bilstein b6 or b8's with either eibach or h&r springs, but the cheapest I can get that where I am is around $1400 to $1500. I was also looking at the Tein Flex z coilovers, as well as the Tanabe Revel Touring sport coilovers, as I can get them for $1600 or cheaper. I will not be bringing the car to a track. It will be a weekend driver/ twisty mountain road car. Does anyone have experience with either of these coilovers? Or any other suggestions on anything better suited to my use that I can get in Canada for around $1500 or cheaper?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Unfortunately that's about $600 above my price range. The b12 is within my range though. Was hoping to not lower the car too much though

Oh I must have been reading US prices. Also missed that you're not planning to track, the first time around.
B6 is basically stock replacement
B8 is stock replacement but a bit more heavy duty/lowered suspension
B12 and 14 are a full suspension upgrade.
I think you'd be happy with any one of those, depends on your usecase. Bilstein worked with Mazda on the R3 and 40th Anny edition suspensions, and those are great.

or a set of Koni “orange” non-adjustable shocks and a set of Mazdaspeed lowering springs. The springs are hard to come by, but several people here told me they’ll be selling a set soon. You’ll spend at least 50% less than your limit and better performance than the cheap JDM-YO junk with a better ride.
because you don’t really need adjustable coilovers, especially cheap junk coilovers. The Koni orange shocks are about $460 shipped from Tirerack.

you can PM me about the Mazdaspeed springs

I would think ~$200 USD possibly, but I’m not selling them. I’ll point the people who are to this thread and suggest they contact you directly.
