BC Thank Goodness I found this Site!

I recently purchased a pre-loved 8 and it came with the usual set of issues! I got it for cheap thinking it would be a fun little DD to run back and forth to work and maybe ween my son off of his monster gas guzzling pick-up while he is in school. All the issues that have showed up with our 8 I have been able to find easy DIY solutions here! Awesome. Can't wait to see how this thing does in our Northern Canadian winters. Just dropped the casual $1300 on winters and rims so bring it on!

Well it is a big block ford sitting on 40" tall tires so I will take the 15mpg that the 8 gets over the 6 mpg "The Big Dirty" gets!

I've heard of gas guzzling trucks but jeez! Yeah, the RX-8 won't be a huge improvement, but it's a step in the right direction for sure. Also way more fun to drive!

Well we got our first dump of snow and with it came the bad roads. I am amazed at how well the 8 preformed. We have new winters on it and we were able to cruise around all the stuck trucks and school buses on the hill by our house. We have a new Ford 1/2 ton with good reasonable winter tires and I am more comfortable in the 8 than in it.....in 4wd! Looks like my fears were all for not!
