Is there an SSV Sensor?

Is there an SSV Sensor?
I have researched the heck out of this and haven't found any information. I'm getting the P0661 CEL (low voltage). The local dealer tells me it is not the fault of the SSV, but that I have a bad SSV sensor. I'm almost ready to call BS.
I know there is an SSV valve and solenoid, but is there also a sensor?
Further the dealer says that Mazda does not make the sensor anymore and if I want to replace it I need to replace either the upper or lower intake manifold, can't remember which?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There is a Switch. I would just check to see that the bracket holding it in place is not bent. the dealership bent mine when they replaced the engine and i had to just bend it back into place. I believe i have a switch lying around somewhere. I picked a used one up and ended up not using it.
Yeah no not the solenoids on the back of the plastic intake manifold. Make sure the wiring isnt frayed or broken.

complete BS... don't buy that. There was a TSB issued on the SSV and a redesign of it did occur but that had nothing to do with the UIM and LIM.
