WI Thinking about buying an Rx8

Anything I should know before purchasing one? and also, I have been looking at used rx8's most of them are 2004 rx8's with 60-100k miles for under 6k? Seems really off to me/ too cheap

Read the New Owner Stickies.
Under $6k with that many miles is about right.
A rotary specific compression test is a must when buying an 8.

If you haven't already, read this thread in its entirety:

It cannot be stressed enough that a rotary-specific compression test is crucial for each car you consider.

FuzzyRX8 a host of those 2004 "bargain" RX8s have failing or failed rotary engines and a host of other issues. You must get a rotary engine specific compression test on any car you are considering or else your "bargain" could turn into an expensive "nightmare" with you spending as much on a reman or rebuilt rotary engine as you spent to get the car.

Spend more for a higher quality car. There is an 8 year/100,000mi warranty on engines, try to get one that's still covered.
