Tire Pressure Question

Hey, I just wanted to know what level of psi should I have on my 235/40/18 tires... currently from the tire installer they are set at 40... and Im guessin thats way to high... Driving Press - Stay Alive - Think and Drive

40psi cold is kinda high.
I would stick to 32psi.

That size isn't hugely different from OEM so the OEM pressure of 32 PSI all around is a good starting point. Adjust from there if you notice any funny wear or handling issues.

yup, somewhere in the 34 psi cold range is probably good.

40 is too high and your tires will wear more at the centre. Your handling will suffer as well.

Stock setting is 32 PSI and I personally just adjust it to be at 32~33 cold. This is assuming you have an accurate gauge.
