Transmission/shift issue

Good day everyone !

My name is Djordje and I am owner of RX-8 2005 since 3 months.
I have imported car from Germany to Serbia and after one month (after i did registration of car, got plates etc.), I noticed that when I enter 3rd gear it goes smoothly, normaly, but it have weird sound (like i did not push to the end of gear) and it will not go, I need to re-enter 3rd shift in lower RPM.
I though it was me, but few friends also driven my car and had same issue.

This happens (not always but in 80% cases) in RPMs over 4500. Only in 3rd gear.
edit: Sometimes it happens few times in a row if i try to add gas after i shift.

I am going to check engine mounts and transmission oil.

Does anyone know what could cause this problem?

I hope i did not miss forum for topic. If missed, please, could you try to move it?

Thanks in advance !

Wish you all happy day !

Edit: Car mileage is 82000km.

Welcome!

Start with fresh oil. It's important to use a good GL4 oil. Redline MT90 or Ford Motorcraft. Don't forget the differential oil as well! Redline 75w90.

Loki, thanks for the answer. I will buy them online since they do not exist in Serbia, unfortunately.

Concerning transmission, could it be that synchro of 3rd gear working bad?
I found out that is really expensive component.

Also, I found whole used transmission for around 50euro but it is 5-th gear. Mine is 6-th gear.
Is it possible to swap synchro from 5th gear transmission to 6th gear?

Not likely.

If you like the gear ratios...the 5 speed is a stronger transmission and is a direct bolt in for the 6 speed

I am sorry but I did not understand your sentence above.

I understood that 5-gear transmission is stronger but what is "and is a direct bolt in for the 6 speed".

Above I am speaking about 5-gear transmission 3rd gear synchro to put in 6-gear transmission 3rd gear synchro swap. Maybe we misunderstood.

The syncros won't swap... but the transmissions will...
