Troubleshooting idle and starting issues

Let me make this perfectly clear to start off, my Rex has a BRAND NEW MOTOR in it and blown apex seals aren’t the issue . The vehicle will not start or idle on its own without doing a deflood and putting a few CC’s of ATF in it , and after starting it will not idle , I have to keep feeding it gas or it will die. I have also done a rolling start and it will drive but when I push the clutch in it will immediately die. I feel no power loss and the redline is still 9000 . I’ve searched forum after forum and I still haven’t found answers and all I get from people is “BLOWN APEX SEALS, LS SWAP IT”. I read that it could have been badly wired injectors. Or a bad fuel pump, or a vacuum leak. Any and all help is very very much appreciated since I can not afford to tow it to a shop or afford said shop, and the nearest person who will even work on a rotary is 2 hours from where I stand.

A new motor equals what? It was rebuilt by someone? A Mazda Reman?

Who installed it?

There are so many possibilities as to what could be wrong that it will be basically impossible to tell you much over the internet

Have you reset the ESS sensor profile?

Confirm that the coils packs and the injectors are hooked up correctly. Usually it will run with the injector plugs mixed up...just poorly

If the coils are hooked up wrong it probably won't run very well if at all

You need to check that the fuel rails are getting fuel.... and that the olug wires are on the correct plugs

It sounds like it has low compression...so you really should check that as well before you go down the rabbit hole too far

Where do you live? there may be someone close that could help you out??

it was was installed by the previous owner, who had a proper rebuild done on the motor and the compression is fine. I know the wiring could be screwed a little bit by the previous owner and I’m checking it bit by bit. It has fuel obviously because it will run when it’s locked into gear going down the road and has NO POWER LOSS, but it dies when the clutch gets pushed in. I’ve done an idle reset as many times as you could ever hope to and it will do the idle relearn sequence until it gets down to 1200-1000rpm then abruptly dies. and like I previously mentioned , there’s NO ONE near me in hillbilly hell Kentucky who knows anything about rotaries and the nearest guy who does, charges **** and ********* for his work.
