Is it true high rev to redline reduce engine life?

So, in order to accelerate faster, is the redline the point to reach in every up gear shift? If so, does this way of driving reduces engine's life?

Basically, yes. Shift at the beep to use the best RPM range. No, this does not harm a rotary. In fact, if you DON'T shift up there periodically, your engine can get carbon choked to death. It doesn't like low revs. Just don't hold the RPMs at redline needlessly, since that just generates a lot of heat without anything to show for it. Shifting at the beep is one of the funnest aspects of the rotary engine, so use it.

I have a question for you is it possible to remove or even mover the beep to a higher RPM because I've hit 9500 RPM and no beep but I got nerves and shifted I don't take it up that high very often unless I'm not watching the tack I keep it around 8500.

9,500 on the tach should be well past the beep. You are actually at about 8,900rpm at that point (the factory tach is off just a bit), and were about to hit fuel cut. I do not know of a way of disabling it, however the actual physical buzzer itself may have failed.

Niteshade, there is a test you can do I'm not sure exactly, Pearl correct me.

Hold down your milage reset, then turn on the key and wait. the display goes into a diagnostic mode, Then release the milage reset and every time you press ityou will switch to the next test function. One of them is the buzzer.

While at the track I am constantly at the red line, the buzzer is more than adequate on the street but on the track sometimes its hard to hear. Ive gotten fuel cutoff a few times for not paying attention...pretty annoying when youre in the middle of a clean run
