Ok the car will start and run but in order to get it to do so when hot is extremely difficult if at all. If you tap the gas pedal when starting it seems to flood it. When you put it in gear you have to rev it high to keep it from dieing and you have to keep it revved high when stopping or it dies. It is an automatic. On the other hand once you get it started and it is idling it will stay idle unless you do something to change the rpm such as turn on the ac at which point if your aren't reving the engine it dies. Please help I know very little about rotary motors.

Sounds like a few things going on there. Is the check engine light on and if so what are the codes? Did this just start one day or was the decline gradual? Most idling and stalling problems are either a vacuum leak or poor ignition. Ignition on these cars is an engine killer, if the coils wires and spark plugs are more than 25k miles old, replace. Look for any open, cracked or loose vacuum hoses and repair. The intake needs to be airtight after the MAF.
Not being able to restart when hot is different. Usually that's a symptom of compression loss and there's not much you can do it about it except replace the engine. You can get a compression test from Mazda or a rotary shop to confirm.
