Trying to sell or rebuild my 8
I’ve had this car for a while and I love it, but it no longer runs. I’ve looked around at some places that do rebuilds and replacements and they’re crazy expensive, in NC at least. I’ve been on and off trying to sell the car with no luck. What is my best course of action? Also, how do I post in the classifieds on here? It says I don’t have permission. Thank you all

If you decide to rebuild don't expect to get the money out of it if you turn around and sell it. I see rebuilt rx-8s sell just as cheap as rx8's with 100k on them. IDK why. If you can sell your car as a roller for more than 1500 I would sell it and just buy another used one. a rebuild will set you back with removal and install around 3k.
Also message Michael Edwards on Facebook. He does budget rebuilds and test drives them for 500 miles to be sure they run okay. His budget motors are 1600-1800 bucks which imo is a steal. He installs for 400 more I think. He is in NC as well.

I just added him to the rebuilders thread recently and I totally blanked on it.
Thanks.

If the car is in overall good condition with only the engine being the major downfall, then it’s worth rebuilding and putting it back on the road.
If the shell is trashed and worn out (high miles) then it comes down to a personal designed if it’s worth it to you or not.
In Jacksonville, FL perfectly good dead shells go for $500-1,200. Most can be saved by simply replacing all ignition components and an overall much needed refresh of the drivetrain.
A compression test is needed to determine that.
