To be on the safe side, you should change the plugs and coil packs about every 30,000 miles. You will find the plugs are priced on the high side at about $20 each. OEM coil packs are available at about $30 each.
The easiest way to replace the plugs are from either the wheel well (you can reach them through the spokes of the wheel, with a long extension, if you don't want to remove it) or from underneath the car.
Each rotor has two spark plugs. One is called the leading plug. The other is called the trailing plug. They have different part numbers.

4 coils, all identical
4 wires, identical internally, different lengths only
4 plugs, 2 of one part number 2 of another part number (leading and trailing respectively)
Replace every 30,000 miles on average. Possibly sooner, sometimes longer.

We aren't trying to be rude, but you aren't the first person to ask this stuff ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
We got tired of re-typing it over and over and over again, and all the basic info got put into one spot for people to read.
There are answers to questions there that you don't know you will be asking yet. But we know you will be
