Wanting to get my RX-8 painted

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums (obviously) and I was wanting to get a rough estimate or what you guys would believe to be a good price on a paint job. I managed to find an exact example of the paint job I wanted ( http://fast5cars.co.nz/wp-content/up...1-IMG_2535.jpg ) and was just wanting to ask a couple questions (if they're answerable)

1) Is the paint job in the pic metallic or solid?

2) What would be an acceptable price range to get the car painted such as in the pic (orange with black roof)? Interior and exterior. The original paint job is solid black.

3) How many coats of clear should I get?

4) How badly would it effect the painting if I had a carbon fiber trunk spoiler? (Not that I wanted it painted I was just wondering if that would come in to account for more labor)

Thanks a ton in advance and I'm sorry if my knowledge surrounding auto mechanics is below par (I'm going into college for auto mechanics so hopefully the newbieness will wear off)

Hard to tell from that pic

$5,000.00+ for quality work but it depends where you live

3) How many coats of clear should I get?

a quality painter will determine that and the product used.

This.

Thanks for the reply, even just that estimate helped a lot. I just wanted to know how much I should roughly be saving up. Might take me a little bit seeing as I'm working minimum wage out of high-school lol.

The rule of thumb with bodywork and paint is to see prior work done, don't take recommendations by word of mouth unless you have seen the work first hand. What one person might consider good work, may be considered to be **** by another. I have very high standards for paint work, many people don't.

I was recently referred to a guy after I saw some of his work that was pretty good (8 out of 10 maybe). So I took him my fender vents to get repainted just to see what kind of work he could do. He did an okay job but I would never let him do any major body panels.

I am glad I had him try something small because it shows me that while he may be capable of doing good work, he is obviously inconsistent so it's not worth the risk to give him a big job because with a large job you want it done right the first time.
