Apparently Mazda extended their warranty to 100k miles. So does this mean if my engine blows below 100k miles I can get a free refurb? I haven't got my RX8 yet but calling the dude tomorrow and i'll probably buy it on Wednesday. Its low mileage.

I believe it was 100k miles or eight years. Considering the last model year covered is 2007, I don’t think you’re covered. Here’s the details we got in the USA

Surely if it expired after 8 years it would be '100k and/or 8 years'. If its just 'or' would that not mean one could ignore the 8 years part?

From the letter:

“Components will be extended to 8 years (96 months) from the original warranty start date, with a 100,000 mileage limitation.”

If you can’t read (or spell), should you really be driving a car?

The bad news is the UK got 3 years 36000mls, the 8year 100k only applies to the USA.
So check the car carefully, might be worth looking up the uk RX8 owners club for local help.
