What is my RX-8 worth?

Hey all,
Sorry if this is an inappropriate forum for this question, but this is my first time registering (been a lurker for a while) and I'm unable to post in other forums.
I have an 08' in good condition (just a minor dent on the passenger side, few scuffs inside). No leather or sunroof. At 90k the engine seized up on me and is being being replaced free-of-charge by Mazda. Now I'd feel fine just doing the math with any other car, but with the new engine and these cars being wonderfully unusual I feel better coming to some more experienced people to see what this thing might now be worth.
tl;dr - Help me figure out what what my 2008 RX-8 (90k on body, new engine) is worth!
Thanks all, looking forward to being more active around these parts.

This is a rather hard question to answer. It's even one of the "Questions we can't answer" in the New Owners's thread.
For example:
What are your local market conditions? How fast do RX-8's move off dealer lots around you? Are there many in the listings? For that matter, what country do you live in and what currency are you using? Then there are the questions that apply to you. How much would you accept for it? How fast are you looking to sell it? etc...
The best way is to just pull a KBB value. KBB isn't aware of poor engine conditions, so those are virtually all assuming that the engine is healthy by default. A dead engine'ed car would be ~4-5k less than that.

Just to give you a ballpark idea of approximate value, here are 3 local ones I found:
08 40th anniversary mt 156k $9500. dealer
07 GT at 117k $9,000. dealer
09 GT mt 52k $15,000 private
All are fully safetied and e-tested and mileages are in kilometers so if you are in US or UK, conversion will be needed. Also, I only tossed in the private sale to give you an idea of difference between dealers (who know a car's value) and a private individual (who wants only the most he can get)

Private sellers usually go by KBB, or Nada and sell just under it.

Strange area, I guess. The advantage to dealers is they are usually more negotiable (dickering) plus, as a rule, they sell their cars safetied and e-tested with a printout of the car's history included in the price so you avoid any unpleasant surprises. The better dealers will usually work with you on extras like compression tests, something a lot of private sellers won't because of either the hassle/expense involved or the possibility a deal-killer might show up. You just have to know how to deal with them. Also, many private sellers seem to have a somewhat inflated idea of the value of their cars for whatever reason and, if the use guidelines at all, they often use the highest rating whether their car qualifies for it or not, again to get the most they can out of a buyer.
