White smoke??
Hello, I haven't posted much on rx8club and it won't let me post this anywhere else. I've tried searching and have had no luck. So maybe somebody reading this will be able to shed some light on this situation. So I bought my RX8 about a year ago (2009 Touring with a 6MT) and shortly after, I replaced my OEM midpipe with an ebay catless midpipe and ever since, it has a very light white smoke, cold and hot, until it gets driven. I'm not sure if this is normal or not, I'm really hoping my coolant seals or oil seals aren't leaking. Anyways, thank you in advance and have a nice day!

Probably just the normal oil smoke. Rx8s have a wax pellet that's supposed to mitigate oil consumption until the engine is hot, but the pellets break and stick in a hot state causing the smoke till you're driving it around. Unless it's pouring out or getting worse I wouldn't worry about it.

The above is not accurate. Oil injection is controlled by the OMP, especially in a '09, nothing else.
But it sounds like it's just condensation in your case. I would check if you're losing coolant or if there are bubbles in the coolant when starting from cold, to be sure. But otherwise not a problem by itself.

Not innacurate. Taken from atkins rotary website. Yes it could also be the OMP. Could also be worn oil control rings. Number of possibilities could cause white smoke on startup. If its going away once the engine is warm instead of getting worse its probably nothing to worry about for the moment.
