Why are there mitsubishi and mercedes logos in my RX8
Here is the mercedes logo:
The mitsubishi logo
They both look like they go into whatever this device is
This thing is sitting in front of the wiper fluid reservoir.
Does anyone know what this thing is/does? And also is the radiator supposed to be tilted forward at a 45 degree angle..?
This has got to be the weirdest car I've ever looked at any answers are appreciated.

That's what I figured I think I found the thing they go into in the manual and its got something to do with the EVAP system. This was my first time seeing a car made using other manufacturers parts..
But I guess if you can't beat them join them

so hard not to play.....
The air pump connects to your exhaust manifold and is used to lower exhaust emissions during cold start up. All RX-8s have them, manual and automatic. It has nothing to do with the EVAP system and will throw its own code if disconnected / faulty.

Most cars have "other manufacturers" parts on them. Mitsubishi is a giant corporation, they make a lot more than cars. Specifically, they make various general purpose motors and sensors that car manufacturers buy from them, rather than inventing their own.
The O2 sensor is made by Bosch which supplies a lot of German auto components. Perhaps that's how the Mercedes logo got on there, the pump is a Bosch if I remember well.
