Won't start then starts and runs great then won't start
New here! Lol
I have read lots of posts here and learned lots of very useful information, but I haven't yet seen one that matches mine exactly. I bought an 05 and it takes forever to start when cold, then starts finally after like 5 minutes. After that it runs amazing! I can't get over how amazing it sounds! ♥️
I let it heat up then shut it off at 3krpm. Again it won't start!
I've done several defloods now successfully. I have changed the plugs and coils as well. I'm assuming it's going to be compression issues but I'm hoping beyond hope that I can find a fix. It's an automatic (I love manuals but I just fell in love with this car when I went to see it, clutch or no lol)
I mean it every looks great as a driveway ornament! Lol
But seriously it confused there heck out of me because when it does start it literally sounds amazing! I love this car and am going to do what it takes eventually one way or the other. I was just hoping I might have a prayer of a chance of finding an answer here.
The previous owner said it ran great but parked it for the winter. When he came back to it this spring is when the problem started. The plugs looked new so I'm guessing he tried at least that much himself. My next step is to have the battery checked and the fuel pump. Also I've noticed using the torque app that there starter doesn't have a continuous speed when cranking. It goes between 250 & 300 rpm. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
