I have a 2011 S2 manual with a new engine for sale (~3000 miles on new engine, still has about 9 months/9k miles dealer warranty on it). No accidents ever and vehicle is very clean. All mods are OEM+/reliability type mods.
Listing and pics are in the For Sale section. I'm located in CA though, but we can work something out if you're serious.
My R3 is possibly the cleanest, lowest mileage RX-8 around. Read my low mileage build thread. I just spent about $4000 on wheels and mods though which i will want back plus the cost of the car obviously. I'm not looking to sell, but I'd entertain a VERY good offer.

Wow what wheels are those? They fit the 8's lines well

Great looking car.
However if you are selling, list a price. I have bought and sold many different performance cars in my time and I can’t think of another car that depreciates so rapidly. Used rx8s are not exactly a sellers market.
I will spend real money for the right car, to an owner that actually wants to sell.

And that's why I don't list a price lol. Because you'll give me some KBB/NADA bullshit, I'll either laugh or tell you to **** off, depending on my mood, so no point. Besides, the price wouldn't be for the car, it would be for me reluctantly letting go of the keys
I had it listed for a while, but only because I'm out of room in my garage. Between my '17 GTI and '15 STI as my dailies, my R3 and my '20 Supra as my fun cars, my Honda Odyssey to haul my 4 Great Danes around, and the Lotus Exige I'm about to buy, I could use the space lol. Problem is, I absolutely adore the R3.
I have already seen enough to know for the car I want, I will be paying above nada. However that doesn’t mean nada and kbb can be 100% discounted. I have sold cars I love before and do not have the storage space that you seem to enjoy. Because of that, I know I will need to SELL the rx8 I buy at some point. I expect to take a hit but I don’t want to be the guy that absorbs the majority of depreciation either.
Also, I am agnostic regarding series 1 or 2. I have driven both and the series 2 is nicer but both cars seem equally unique and special as enthusiast cars.
It sounds like you have a great car you will be enjoying for a while. However this is not a TTW thread. If you are actually selling then please list a price. I am looking to buy a car, not hopes and dreams.
Well, having owned both S1 and S2 cars, my advice is shoot for an S2. Not only are they obviously newer, they're nicer overall, and easier to work on. Oil filter is in a more convenient place for instance. Mod wise only thing that's different is the rear shock perch, and the hangers for a catback are different. Other than that, everything pretty much swaps over. S2 engines have countless upgrades over S1 engines, extra oilers etc. If they were effective, that's up for debate. Both my S1 and S2 cars have been 100% perfect. But if I had to choose, I'd pick an S2 every time.
