Zoom Zoom baby!!
Hey Gents. Just picked up a 2005 RX8 with the stock 13B in it. I already installed a Borla Cat-back system and the MazdaSpeed Cold air intake (long pipe) on it and other than that its bone stock. I want some sugestions on building this to a 20B with a 60mm+ turbo (end goal is around 600rwhp and 500 ftlbs of torque.) Let me know what your suggestions are on everything and also on the basics to the rotary life (maintenence, ect..)https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/ylsuper.gif

My suggestion is to save about $20,000.00 before you even think about a 20B. As for the rest, read the new and potential owners thread sticked at the top of the new member forum.

Thanks. I've been reading the Newbie's Guide all afternoon and there is a lot of great info there. I'm an aircraft mechanic so rotary is nothing new to me, just in this application. One of the first things performance wise that I would like to do is upgrade the trans and rear-end. I read on the newbie guide that the gen II is the "better" of the two when it comes to both of these. Here is my overall goal parts wise:
20b
FI
upgraded trans+rear-end
upgrade suspension to handle the added weight
wide-profile body-kit
rims and tires
new head unit for the stereo (looking at the BOSS systems)

Honestly you might want to go for a 13brew swap. A little cheaper and can still make that goal. I was in the same ordeal but the 20b is such a rarity. Everything is custom and shops will charge out the butt for the labor alone. But if you are willing, Dave up 10k and blow that on the engine and rebuild. Be prepared to spend 2 to 3 times that as well.
