04 rx8 ls1 motor swap help identify these plugs/ connectors
I have an 04 rx8 that I got with no motor in it, so I went with an ls1 swap I finally have it all in an running but have a few things I need to fix like the power steering ad a few gauge lights ,
First question what does the oil pressure sending unit plug look like/ located on the harness,
Where does the gauge cluster get its signal for the battery/ altenator light?
Can you identify these connectors and where they might go ?
I am writing a program with arduino to convert the analog signals to the can bus system but because I dot have the original motor to compare where the individual sensors where/ connectors it is making it much more dificult
Please help thanks

I can't figure out how to upload pics so here the connectors in question
One is a 2 wire black and red 10 awg on passenger fender where does it go / what does it power
One is a white single wire 10awg close to front passenger side where does it go / it's function
Next are 2 close together connectors close to front passenger one is a 2 wire grey and the other is a black mtiple wire

Single wire connector looks like the one that goes on the 120A fuse at the battery or it connects to one of the modules under the PCM which is much more likely, the other connectors are for you coolant reservoir (Silver connector) and I believe A/C line (Black connector)

The black connector with the thick gauge red and black is the air pump power source, you don't need that.
In the second pic, you have what looks like the SSV connector, APV motor connector, and one of the power connectors for the original positive battery terminal with the built in fuse. But the white connector and wire should not reach near the ECU but who knows what was changed since the engine was swapped.

Well the headlights / hid are hooked up and work, so I don't need the plug for the air pump at all, so the single wire connector is 12v ( does it have anything to do with te power steering?) as of right now my power steering is the only thing I can't get to work .

Thanks for all the responses , proper planning would have been a lot easier if I didn't get an incomplete car in the first place.
All of the plugs are in the control module so is it safe to assume the single wire white plug is the power supply for the power steering module?
Also does any one know of a company that makes an aftermarket master cylinder for the clutch? The factory one isn't moving enough fluid for high rpm shifts
If I can't find one I'm going fabricate a mount and run a second master cylinder under the stock and hook them both to the clutch line

Be careful not to add a too large master cylinder so it pushes out the seal on the slave, but you know that already I guess. Good to see another conversion, where are your pics man ?

Don't mind that wire was just test the power steering haha, I have all the hardware / micro controllers to convert all the analog signals from the motor to the can bus system to use the factory gauges now I just need to write the script/ program for it , I'm a little lost as to why power steering is not working , but it's all coming along

This is the hardest part of the swap. You don't need anything as far as controlers to convert signals. You need the oem sensors and a schematic. I can help you with that over the phone. 817-232-4242. All of oir gauges work with no converter boxes.

Im still working on my mastercylinder issue right now , i making mounts and using an 02 camaro master cylinder doing this today , The problem with the guages is I don't have most of the factory harness from what I can see I only have ~3 in used plugs .... I plan to do the master today , then Payne pull my plugs apart for the power steering swee if I can get it working. Once I get to the point where I'm ready to start messing with these guages I will definitely give you a call , thanks
