i dont see anything special about it that's all, all u gotta throw is enough $$$ and it will work.

give me whatever money I need I can build you whatever you want, I will even be able to make a Ferrari running with a Geo Metro engine.

How much drivetrain power lose do you have? Should have just bought a 6 speed Supra to begin with and call it a day.

i DD an awd car now and i have to say, awd is superior to rwd hands down. rwd is a bit more fun though.

thanks for everyone!

power loss in tranny isn't significant and equivalent to manual transmission (almost), just because here we have no Torque converter.

this tranny shifts very fast and it is a problem because of comfort.

have a look on my other cars: I've got Toyota Trueno AE86 with 2JZ and manual AWD tranny for example.

many photos you can find here: Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT40 2JZ Awd MT | TheDriveBook

and AWD gearbox itself How 2JZ 4WD MT gearbox is made? - Journal | TheDriveBook

we have experience with 2JZ 3,1L 272/272 and GT4088 2.0 boost for weekend and everyday driving on JZX105 with HKS clutch

tranny is still alive)) photos and description here: Toyota Chaser 2jz-gte 4WD, 5

Props on what you did and all but not a fan of how the car looks. Always wondered what AWD would feel like in our cars.

So your utilizing some form of Clutch Flite system?

With a 3.1L, VVT & 4088 I would expect power to be around 650 Crank HP & 500 AWHP max?

I can also assume this is a 2JZ-GE VTT? Not a GTE

regarding power: i assume its much more than 650hp, but just dyno graph could
confirm it.

regarding cylinder head: it is hardly modified GE head, it has ported combustion chambers to the equivalent of GTE head.
The benefit is that final head has significantly increased intake and exhaust tracts (and you can use stock toyota gasket to get 8,5 compression ratio).

will add photos of process and result later (need to find photos on my laptop)

ps: in Russia 2JZ-GTE VVT-i is more common than non VVT-i (old one)

Well with the size of the 4088, 650-700 is conservative without cams (didnt see a listing) but could probably hit 750 with cams... You might get a bit more bottom end torque from the increased stroke.

That makes sense regarding the head, you should have 8.5 if your using a GTE bottom end with standard compression ratios and using a factory HG.

Its very hard to even find VVTI engines in Japan due to low production numbers through 98-02 hence why very few companies made cams for them.

Yep, you right.

in my case (RX8 and Chaser AWD MT) we use 272/272 Brain Crower cams.

Ported head shows notable extra power. And of course bottom is GTE.

However GTE and GT cylinder blocks have no principle differences, just oil injectors. And these injectors we have put in the same way as stock.
RODS and pistons are non stock) we like CP pistons, some times we use colben shmidth.

i've got many info about combining different cylinder heads, blocks from 1-2JZ - GE-GTE. regarding compression ratio and other. if you are interested in smth let me know))

Didn't know B.Crower made VVTI cams, interesting!

Ya just the oil jets, which some people tend to delete for some reason... which I dont understand, only a benefit.

I am in the process of building a 3.4L stroker right now with a 94mm Titan Crank, Carrillo's , CP's and all the goodies. RX8 is here to fill the 2-3 year void while that project is finished haha

Have you done a AWD 2J in a MKIV? Many people on supraforums would be interested to see that if so

sorry about all of the haters its just because you switched to a piston engine, had you chose another rotary they would be jizzing themselves. that's amazing man do you have/are you willing to share/sticky the specifications and measurements on how you built that trans? maybe all these haters can use it to build an awd rotary one day
