Nice! What steered you to the TrueTrac instead of something with a higher bias like the T2R?

don't make me lie or embarrass myself. I dont entirely know what higher bias really means. I was originally going to get a ford performance carbon clutch but after some lengthy reading, the trutrac was the better option. It's also what keisler recommends. This car will never see a race course in any serious capacity so I'll never see the real benefit of something higher imo. It just needs to hold 600hp for laughs on the freeway lol.

Wow the diff kit looks serious top notch quality. And awesome you found a final drive. Really coming together! Can't wait to see when you fire it up!

One thing I can say is the car runs and always has lol. Definitely needs a real tune since it's basically on a start up tune. The problem now is once its road legal again I'm torn between driving it for a while or diving right into this transmission conversion and having it all tune together one time vs repeated tunes.

Hopefully people can learn from this build thread because the struggle for information is real 😅. i post on supra forums for the 2jz information which is great until the transmission discussion. Ive received bits of info from rx8club as a whole but alot of one on one info from specific users. This swap is way out in the weeds and not for everyone but I think there's someone for everyone in it.

Just a side note. When purchasing this diff kit, it ask you which generation rx8 you have because the sunframe design changes where the front section bolts on. Supposedly the s1 is different from s2. My 09 r3 subframe matches the spare subframe I pulled off an 06. Maybe the changeover happened later or maybe my 09 is a late 08. There's pictures on their website showing the difference but it's not easy to see on the car itself.

You'd likely never notice the difference unless on a tight autox course, and if tracking sometimes open diff is better. For a street car, no one would know the wiser.

That's fair, that's my scenario and why I was leaning toward the T2R, but I think I'm going OS Giken.

there’s nothing to debate or argue over, but seeing as how you swallowed it hook line and sinker then consider it good advice for yourself.

pretty sure I'm entitled make my own choices in life which i already did prior to his post. Slandering his opinion without at the very least providing a counter argument in support of your own opinion masqurading as fact is completely useless. Go be the misinformation police elsewhere sir .

I'm sure you have done your research and picked an option that fits your needs, it's a reliable diff that should serve you well. No point spending more money on something if your usage doesn't match the product application.

Do you even hear yourself? I’m not interested in arguing with either of you, but you sure seem to be trying to pick a fight with me, while at the same time pretendng like you don’t want me replying here, and also at the same time pretending to be cordial when you’re not. In order for it to be slander then it’d have to be untrue. If anything is clear in your replies, it's that you’re not the least bit interested in whether it is true or not.

The part you’re not getting is that anyone with enough RX8 experience recognized it for their self.

You're entirely correct. Idgaf if it's correct or not because my decision was already made. I agreed that i wouldnt be able to tell a difference. I honestly dont care nor, did i ask for anyones "rx8 experience" in this matter lol. I appreciate everyone whose willing to share their thoughts, opinions and experiences nonetheless

Why you feel the need to plague this forum with your nonsense all day everyday has been beyond me since I joined this forum. You've contributed absolutely nothing of value in this thread yet still find the need to express disdain for other people's input. You're also correct that I'm not being cordial, but that doesn't mean I need to result to name calling and noob trolling like you're attempting to do. Its the internet bro, calm down. Go build something with your time good sir
