You may want to add that brace now before you finish the exhaust?
You know you are going to need it specially with those solid mounts and no give.

Clutch bracket adjusted ok--pressure plate moving full range?
You putting a 4 point front stabilizer bar? Dont break a windshield now.

alright man I wish I could post the video but I can't lol. I took the car for one quick drive down the road and back and decide that it wasn't ready to drive.

I got on it in second and it went sideways but the weight of the front end is terrible for the stock suspension so when I let off I felt the oil pan and heard it hit the ground kinda scared me I thought something broke.

But anyways from that one run the front suspension dropped 2 inches and never recovered from it.

But yes I will add the brace before the exhaust for sure. The engine and bracing and all the work will be done when I go get the exhaust.

As far as the clutch it's shy by about a 1/16 of a inch of moment. I can shift all gears but it takes a little pressure and the peddle has to be to the floor and then as soon as you start to let off your pulling away.

As far as the bar I'll most likely do a 6 point lol and run it both to the firewall and the radiator or down to the engine.

But anyways guys I can say this......this motor should have about 500 hp or better and I claimed before 400 to the wheels with the rotary and everyone said it was bullshit. But I got to say after the one little run I was expecting more power. Power is very close to the rotary.

But then again my engine isn't broke in....and the engine fuel mixer isn't adjusted nor is the timing for that matter really.

SO IDK but anyway I'll raise the front and put some solid springs in it and then go from there.

Great progress, I am really enjoying following this build -- congrats so far.

What was your previous setup on the rotary getting you 400 whp?

Mazsport type 3 kit...running 14 psi....3.9 rear gears with the rx7 5 speed transmission 6 disc sprung HD act pressure plate, lightweight flywheel.

AFR steady 10.9 to 11.1 threw the whole curve from 3k and up. 2.5k was 12 and 2k was around 12.5. Then cruising was i think 13.5

I had done several pulls and several logs to get it all that exact but all in all it was all good till the welds on my manifold started breaking and my boost controller jumped in 18psi which was suppose to be only ran with racing fuel but it was tuned all the way to 16 on 93 octane but I didn't run past 14 for safety unless had something to up the octane.

With the difference in gears my first topped out at like 53 mph and that gear was completely useless...Second would loose traction at about 6k rpm for a few. I actually lost it one day in the car down shifting to third....*** end came around in a matter of a second and by the time I started to respond the car was already almost sideways in the road.

I will admit though it had been raining earlier and the road was damp but I definably didn't expect it to happen.

But anyways I'm going to make some strut spacers tomorrow raise the car about 2 inches for now just to get the clearance till I have money for shocks and taller tires.

I dont think so Bret--my man

Sure you have all the clutch adjustment used--at the clutch pedal? may need a different slave? or just add a longer rod to it?
How was the steering?

How big was that grin on your face?
Cant judge the outcome by that one little yell.
Damynnnn my mind boggles at the capabilitys/options

As far as the clutch it's adjusted all the way out so...yeah either longer pin or I was going to make a new hole on the pedal so it would push it farther....or maybe use the same spot but make a bracket to move it towards the slave which is what I'll most likely do.

Steering wasn't bad...drove a good straight line but I just drove down and back.

The girl that had came over just as I was getting ready to pull it out...actually helped me tune the turbo on the old engine. So we both went for the drive and we both had a huge grin. She was like damn that sounds good and I was like I know right lol.

But anyways I'm going to raise the front today/tonight so I should drive it again tomorrow.

Just for everyone's enjoyment.. I know you guys have been wanting to know how she drives and how she runs...and just so you guys know here is a video driving up the road and back.....but still no exhaust so once again you can't really hear it.

But now that I've watched the video when I first take off you hear me squeeze in in first and in second and the phone just doesn't capture it. First the car went sideways and second just spun.

You don't see the car slide around and you don't like see the spin in the video but it does...

Then when I come to a stop and I take off...first doesn't catch no traction and then when I shift to second it does the same at the beginning and then third pretty well hooked up. But as you can tell I rocket off to some speed pretty damn quick.

Only thing I got to figure out is how I'm going to do the sway bar. It's either my steering being off or it's cause I don't have a front sway bar but when I let off the throttle it kinda makes it kinda go right and left. Kinda how you will do on a bike when you set the front down. How it gets that little shake side to side for a second.

BUT ANYWAYS HERE'S THE VIDEO

Yeah man it's pretty good. I still got to make the strut extenders to keep the front up off the ground like it is now. It's currently spaced with a couple of sockets lol. But it's enough to keep it up and work great.

But anyways my buddy that helped me put the engine in and build it wants to go for a drive tomorrow so we will do that and I'll make sure to get a outside video as well.

crazy idea. chassis is twisting and front wheels are getting very light? maybe.

you need to find a runway to test that thing! good job.

need good alignment--since you built your on tie rods--it probaly off? Steering geometry can get tricky.

No axle hop?
No twist?
Congrat and take mom to the hosp in it!

Great video -- looks like a beast! Looking forward to more footage.

Congrats -- you have an inmpressive amount of determination and problem-solving skills by the way. Most people would talk about this build for two years then spend another year second-guessing / actually doing the build.

Well you guys wanted another video and here it is.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYz9INp98fA

But anyways that's enough for my driving in the car for a while. I need to do the other braces and raise the front and get all the bugs worked out.

I did find out today that I was right...the inline fuel pump I have won't keep up... It made first, second and almost 3rd gear and then started to die out...But my timing isn't advanced like it should be...but anyways car runs great.

yes it is a lot of fun...only thing is I need to get that damn sway bar in. Not joking with I say I'm all over the road. Just driving down the road with the hills and spots here and there and it puts me all over the road. It actually turns my wheel left and right as the car leans side to side. So getting on it on a corner is very scary. Just like when I come around the corner if my sway was there you'd see me come from sliding left and I attempted to slide back to the right and as the weight got thrown I thought the car was going to wipe out..that's why you hear me hit it and let off and then hit it again.

As far as my burn out that's just a first gear burn I thought about doing the second gear but I thought I'd save the rubber....although you can't even tell with these tires that I did it. I love these tires they hook up well.
