Frankenstein Fun Thread Let it all Rip!

Yet the rotary still come into the non rotary side to dish out criticism and otherwise useless nonsense. If they want to put together projects which you guys call junk then thats on them. Most of you guys without a solid word only have bolt on cars with tons of money in them and no rear results. I built an extremely clean and usable car and drove it for months without issue. The car sold for more than an early C6 corvette or C5 ZO6 would cost. Actually I bought an 03 ZO6 and still had money left over. A clean bolt on RX8 would struggle to get $5k. Lol

Ok, I'll leave y'all alone since reading comprehension is an issue.
I never said anything about your swap, and I didn't say anything really derogatory unless you think 'junker' is, but if you get your major parts from a junkyard, that's accurate.
I guess it's better than playing video games all day.
Have fun.

As said you whiney rotary guys come in to this section and make useless comments. One guy more than most. Its easy to have a clean bolt on car. We get it. No the swapped car wont be as clean as the stock car. However that guy with the turbo red car sure went rogue when he was called out by that guy with the V8 car.

I think most folks here try to warn people attempting swaps because it is often much more difficult and time consuming then it seems initially. Now, do they do an effective job of communicating those warnings, ehh maybe not.
As a side note, rotary car without a rotary is just never the same, it loses it soul, what makes it intrinsically "it", sure you have more torque and more horsepower, but you lose those small pleasures of that screaming engine at eight plus thousand RPMs, whipping around corners. Take a corvette or something and put a better suspension package in it, if you want something that goes and has torque down low.
Also, good luck with the swap, don't leave the the RX-8 badge on it.

That would be me I assume? Went rogue? I am here, always have been. I never heard from that guy again and his car was for sale for the better part of a year for a ridiculous price (despite his claim of how much money he was going to get and how fast it would sell) and then was sold supposedly. I have no clue how "finished" it was but from what I gather (if you believe the owner) it was reasonably quick in a straight line. If it was faster than my small turbo 8 or my other local friends bigger turboed RX-8's no one knows. The track here finally opened back up thanks to a new owner so hopefully a LS swapped RX-8 makes it out one weekend, I would love to see one run.
As for piston swaps in general, well I as I have said before, I can appreciate them. The Touge factory LSX R3 is pretty awesome IMO. And Chespeake's (not sure on exact username) is pretty awesome and will get there I think in terms of the total package. And he managed to do without talking a bunch of ****, he just did work. The guy doing the v8 roadsters swap kit seems legit too, his build may be the best one yet actually.
And I assume the "all bolt ons" comment was directed at me (you can speak directly to me, you don't have to ***** foot)? Well I guess you think that is some sort of insult? I'd love to see your "builds" iwannarun, or are you all talk too?

Come on 9k you know your car wouldve been humiliated by that car. And your buddy never called either so i guess that says alot. I know the guy with the swapped car in Austin. That car was very fast and it did sell......for alot. Much more than was invested.

SAR is under new ownership and open so anytime you and your mystery friends get out there or god forbid a road course like Driveway Austin or Harris hill let us know.
Wimp out? I don't recall a time or place ever being set. As I said before, I have no problem losing to a car I am down 100-150HP and a million torx too, but one has to be driving in order to beat the turbo rotaries that are already running. But you better hurry up before one of us blows an engine.

Really?
What a loser.
I guess it's not surprising since the video was a 'walkaround'.
