I put this into an FC RX7 (13B-REW in case you do not know what you are looking at) with a GT35R and 18 PSI, it put 450 to the rear wheels.
I run it at 10-12 PSI because it is more fun to drive with that kind of power, I can honestly say 450 was too much.
I would swap an 20B or a REW into an 8 way before I would swap a boinger motor.
Also, how are you getting around the crank position, did you lower the transmission or raise the engine, will it clear the hood when done?

First, I used to work for Mazda both here in the States & in Hiroshima... I had input into the RX8 in R&D and I love the car & the rotary engine. My love of the rotary, however, is one in which I recognize that it's a flawed engine for most people, resulting in really poor satisfaction for people who need it to be a drivetrain that is an uncompromised replacement for a piston engine in most daily driving cases.
If we're all honest about it, we wouldn't suggest a rotary engine to most friends/family members who aren't mechanically-oriented (unless we are intent on being their personal car service valet). I taught a girlfriend to drive a manual tranny and, with that pain (including her driving my car into a wall in a parking lot), I would never volunteer that again... and I would never volunteer to be the personal service valet for somebody else.
An example of the compromise of living with an RX8? How about the simple Start/Stop procedure, to (among other things) just to avoid flooding your car? This video is what a dealership in the U.K. actually produced to train owners to avoid this... Mazda RX8 - Stop / Start procedure guide - YouTube

Again, I love the rotary and, if I was racing or had a car that I didn't need to rely on for daily driving, the RX8 would be at the top of my list. Ironically enough, the seating/door layouts make it a really usable alternative to other sports cars, one of the goals of the car, but it's let down by the compromise of the powertrain.
I don't look down on the S2K transplant because I also worked at Honda & the biggest problem they both had (have?) is a dogmatic approach that pre-determines solutions (RX8 has to have a rotary, can't be a V8/10/12 in the NSX). With that in mind, I'm really intrigued by przema72's work... keep updating.

My start and stop procedure is as follows:
Start the car. Move it to the other garage to work on it. Turn it off... work on the car and them turn it back on and put it where it was.
Most of the initial flaws have been resolved, others haven't. That's the real problem. An Rx8 can be reliable, just not from the factory. We tore down a brand new engine that came straight from japan no longer than a year ago to see how it was inside. Well, the tolerances were fucked up to say the least (0.38\0.52mm side seal gaps!) etc. Add the low oil pressure, crappy OMP settings, faulty coils and you have timebomb waiting to explode.
I agree, the rx8 isn't really reliable but a smart owner can either patch the problems or address most of them when his engine finally bites the dust.

There are two computers, ecumaster EMU and oem ecu
They are connected together, oem ecu manages DCS and TCS,
ecu EMU controls the egine
ecumatser EMU is a stand-alone ecu, similar to the AEM

i was gonna suggest the ls7 until u said that lol i wud go for a 20b bro. its a siick engine. 600hp is an accident with that engine. do ur homework tho, they sell kits and u can buy a fully built one for like 7g's. thats they way i wud go. honda motors in our car i dont think wud do to good. iv seen the 370 engine in there tho. thats another cool swap

Very cool car. (Actually made me sign up) Was an extensive or fairly straight forward swap? I really like the torque that the Ks make over the Fs and would probably K swap an S2K. I actually toyed around the idea of tossing one in my 7, but stuck it out with the rotary (at least for now), but 8s are cheap and plentiful cars. Not the biggest fan of how they look, but they drive fantastic and have much higher interior quality than 7s.
Does the RX-8 have a pretty solid transmission or is it a sake of ease. Did you have to move the transmission forwards or backward? Can't really see in the pictures, but is there room for a decent turbo exhaust manifold? Such a shame all of the manufactured manifold go to the opposite way.
How complete is the swap currently? Ready for daily driving? Transmission adapter plate looks nice. Did you fab it yourself?

Im not an expert with cars....i basically know how to driver and thats about it.....my wife loves RX8 but its just too expensive to run it .......so my general question is is it possible to swap engine.....it doesnt have to be a monster....id be willing to pay the costs of 1 time job rather then spend 300 euro monthly on petrol ...Are such swaps fully certified etc?
