Whats ur plan for the suspension? The engine u have now must be 2 times heavy from the rotary. I m sure the front car drop couple of inch, and front tyres will wear off easily. :-) |
Weighed the rotary that came out along with the life support for it (coolers). I'm quite positive that the lsx may only weigh about 60-100 lbs than a fully dressed rotor. I plan to get the car weighed full of fluid along with a buddy's RX8.

is you lsx cast iron or aluminium my 1jz gte was 477lbs and the 6 port renesis was 250lbs lol mine is an inline 6 cylinder cast iron with twin turbos |

I weighed it fully dressed with manifold and cat pipe. I even tossed all the oil cooler crap in the bin bc that is definately considered part f the motor. I was thinking about what those guys were saying about weight. I am willing to bet a trillion bucks that a fully dressed cam/head LS1 weighs less than a Renesis with all the turbo stuff bolted toit. My buddy is doing an FD and his LS3 weighs less than his full dressed 13B twin turbo. |

What a pain in them ass it is though. Some may think it's Bobo work but I could give a shit less about a low coolant light or a traction control inop light. Soldering iron will take care of that

I had two piece of hard rubber dampener installed on the shock spring, just to stop the front hitting low. Im not sure if adjustable coil over will do extra benefit, and with the hard ride suspension, I might not enjoy the stiff ride. Anyhow, open to suggestion from others. |
I didn't lose any ride height at all. I am getting a set of Bilsteins with Tein S springs to help tighten things up. I may just use the stock springs on the bilsteins if the Teins ride like a Radio Flyer. From the looks of the straight 6 there is more motor in front of the axle.

and yes the motor does hangover about 8" to 12" pulleys and all |
I'm gonna get the car corner weighted and I will move or replace components to get the car balancer within 2% which is great on a street car. I'm just considering the Bilsteins to help the ride and the Teins are just on them. I really don't want to lower the car any bc I don't want to slow down for speed bumps. I don't like lowering cars bc it ruins the ride and they are stressful to drive bc of bumps and transitions on the street.

wow that's pretty impressive that you'd be able to aim roughly withing 2% ect,, lol im only 23y/o and intend on recreational drifting and time attacks, as well as a summer car, so i might be able to get away with my build being around 200lbs front heavy lol

Yeah 2% May be Very difficult without adding ballast which isn't practical in a street car. Really who adds weight anyway. 5% seems more realistic. This car is a street car and won't see any competition aside from some track days

Well its in the 30s and 40s in Austin but im not there right now. I go to Hawaii every christmas break to visit family. Ill get back in a week or so and hit it hard before the semester. My car is in my garage with a space heater and well lit.

Dang dude thats a pricey set of headers. I used the Hinson headers 1 7/8" primaries, 3" slip fit collector, thick stainless flanges and tubes. VERY high quality.

I'd build a set of headers before I spent that much on longtubes. First off I'd like to say F&$@ the fuel pump setup. I've been going back in forth with reusing the sender assembly. Car only has 72k miles so I thought I could reuse the sender with the new pump. I wasn't aware the filter is housed in the sender. I am using a regulated filter so I don't need the rx8 one. I'm trying to see if there is a way to bypass the filter but not looking likely. Im probably just gonna get a new sender. Im gonna have some super clean fuel.

BTW ....If you go too big with the fuel pump (300l/hr ) on the stock assembly, you will overheat the fuel and it will cause pressure spikes . It is possible to fix this with a few mods .

Oh damn it is. Well back to the drawing board. I'm actually happy to hear that. Im just gonna plumb the factory feed to the siphon and run a bulkhead fitting for the main feed to bypass the filter.
