Thanks chris. hopefully there's enough good weather when it's complete to drive it some before I put it away for the winter.

Sports cars are awesome to drive in snow! Don't park it, oil spray the crap out of it , get a set of good tires and drive her. Check out Porsche winter driving course in Finland if you need inspiration. Even Lamborghini did some testing in the alps to prove there winter potential. All the things that make an RX handle well still apply in snow, I'd take my car over my truck any snowstorm (the trucks an RT so there's no more clearance on it lol).

i understand. I didnt mean the entire winter, but there can definitely be days that are worse than others and for those days Ill use my other car. I also dont have a working heater, guess that doesnt mean i cant wear extra layers, but then the windows begin fogging up and i cant defrost them...

im pretty sure chris was referring to the gauges and the lights all working like normal. the hvac system went when the rotary overheated and its just something else that isnt necessary to get the car running.

If there is no heat then there will be no AC either.

That doesn't make any sense.

It doesn't make sense that the engine failing would affect the HVAC system.

Getting the heater working should be one of the easier things. This hose to that hose.

I dont understand how he can do all this crap to your car and is not able to run two coolant lines to the heater core. The engine overheating will not damage any component of the AV system, at all, ever.

I think he means the HVAC control unit is burnt out. If so, it's a $100.00 fix.

Dude if your HVAC contrls are out you won't have either. It controls both.
