If i were you, later on after you've enjoyed your car and fixed any issues with mounts I would take the car apart and take precise measurements of said mounts and make a jig to recreate the mounts exactly as the ones in your car.

The reason is to not rely on very unreliable hinson and actually get these mounts to the market.

Unless you signed a non-disclosure agreement, that would have been a mistake.

Did you guys do a single sided exhaust? I don't see anything in that last pic. Well against all odds you guys got it done congratulations. I hope your budget did not reflect the time frame.

That RX8 is effing sick!!! I love the rotary engine and its tons of fun but I also own a 78 camaro with a 383 stroker in it pushing 500hp so I appreciate the chevy V8's and the power they put to the ground... You combine that power with the handling and stability and lightweight of the RX8 and you got one hell of a ride.

Both my camaro and RX8 are equally fun to drive for the opposite reasons, I can't imagine how much fun it would be to drive with both reasons combined.

Done is a relative word in this situation. Any word on what functionality was lost with this swap?

Ahhhhh yeah!

Have you guys put on the cat back yet? Sounds crazy loud

Also I don't think you mentioned it, but is the stock radiator being used?

Check engine codes can be masked off to not throw a cel. Eps should work on it's own. Air bags should also work on their own. I mean they will deploy even if the car is off. Abs and tcs i think would work if you fed the rx8 computer throttle position, speed and if the ls2 is drive-by-wire.

Just theorizing, what lights are on. Also did you have to mod or wire the eps any?

Factory rack and factory radiator. Battery light, vdc and check engone light are on. Speedo, tac, water, and oil pressure all work.

So the rx8 ecu doesn't know the battery is charging?

Did the eps work without any wiring issues?

Welll you have to wire in the comuter for the eps and wire in a crank signal for it. The battery charging light is something I'm working on.

These wires spliced in should turn off that light. These wires go to pins 2T and 2I.

After attaching the rx8 sensors to the ls motor was there anything intricate that had to be done?

Rx8 has several different computers. The whole thing was intricate lol. We don't want to just turn the light off. Weare trying to make it operational. The only lights that will stay on are vdc and check engine. Check engine is canbus and is pretty much not going to turn off.

Fuel wise we upgraded the pump and ran -6 feed and return. We used a factory chevy filter amd regulator.

Once the coilovers come in I will need taking it to the alignment shop to get adjusted and scaled to see what weight was added.
