Legend In My Own Mind
Fine. We can put RX-8 doors on a GTO. I'm not buying the donor car, though. Every one of them for sale around here must be made of pure gold underneath and the owners all want a fortune.

Nissan is talking about a smaller RWD Z car to destroy the FRS/BRZ. It could be very interesting to the market if they do that and come out with a RWD Silvia replacement like they are talking about as well.

I think this is all part of that "DATSUN" name they keep talking about re-incarnating again. I hope they do bring back a car like the 240Z. Sorry, back to stuffing a huge chunk of aluminum in an RX8!

Both.
I used to be a VQ guy (Maxima), and the motor is relatively small for even its stock output. Also, up to 500WHP can be achieved without changing internals, as long as you tune properly. 300WHP with bolt-ons, tune and cams is no issue as well. 900WHP++, internally breathed-on examples are out there, except that VQ guys seem to be less interested in huge power compared to, say, Supra, F-Body and Mustang guys.

I didn't think the argument included money, because then, we'd all just stick with Mustangs and Camaros. I thought the argument was whether it can develop the power relatively easily.

Im just saying a lot of motors can handle a lot of horsepower if built correctly.
Edit: Most motors can safely handle at least a small turbo/sc upgrade before requiring the internals to be messed with.

z guys complain all day long about how crappy those motors are. its not untill the rev up version when that block started getting good
