Don't sound so confident in someone else's failure.

1) that's not very nice

2) people will think your a jerk

3)it will come back to bit you IF it does actually happen.

You never know, I'm sure there will be a kit one day, look at the rx-7 v8 culture in America.

history is on my side n00b, the failure is publicly posting up all the "wild @ss **** I'm going to do" attention ***** dreamer BS in advance

Come back to bite me? In this case nothing would make me happier than seeing someone finally following through on their big doodoo talk.

and you can call me anything you want, but you can also call me the kind of person who delivers, you will get you chance to critique me further in due time

lol, stop reading between the lines and imagining little boy thoughts

It doesn't take a kit to make this happen. It takes skill, ingenuity, and finances. Where we are today says plenty. A kit just makes it more plausible to start a project that is otherwise beyond a persons ability to do properly.

Hey guys,

I received the Hinson's kit yesterday via FedEx...it's a really good looking kit, and I'll have pics up tonight of it so everyone can take a look. I most likely will not be able to get my hands dirty till summer as far as progress goes, but I'm excited I was able to get more parts crossed off my list. And not trying to be a dick, but I would really appreciate it If people would stop bashing me because I don't update this thread every day. I have said numerous times this is going to take a long time and I'm not in any rush. I have school, work, and alot of other things going on. And I hate logging on and seeing posts like "teaser thread", "just another big plans thread", I started a thread to show the progress and get support on an idea of something different. My other thread on Ls1tech has nothing but good, nice comments, here not so much.

Best, Joey

Sounds interesting, so from what I understand the kit is finished but it hasn't been documented fitting on a private owned RX-8?

Glad someone is taking their time to do this install. Sounds like you have plans to do it correctly.
Following with high interest.

Joey,

Personally I think it's best to ignore the negative posts as they really don't benefit anyone. Despite the unfortunate lack of diplomacy and maturity, I for one support your efforts whether you finish or not. That said, good luck and I loof forward to your progress!

Straight from their f/b page as of yesterday...

Hinson Motorsports, Inc
RX8 Update - We're shipping LSX V8 RX8 mounting kits now. Information is still missing from our site, but it is coming as soon as we can get it up there. Feel free to call this next week.

LSx S2000 - These kits are complete. Final pricing will be completed immediately after the RX8 numbers are online. Thanks for your patience.

We can argue that they've said this before, but I do not believe they would post this information again just to tell us a year from now (again) that they're still finishing bits and pieces. But... like we all know, it is Hinson Motorsports

I didn't see any pictures of RX-8 stuff. Am I blind? lol

http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/s-999...equipment.aspx

I'm curious to know about the electronics -- speedometer and tachometer, specifically. I'm also curious about the repositioning/relocating of the steering rack.

I'm at the point where I'm seriously considering selling my E46 M3 to fund this (or a LSx Miata).

you wont be able to use the oem rack the motor would be sitting up to high
im working on using a miata rack it still wont sit in the factory position probly going to take my spindles to parts shop max to modify them

I believe they reposition the oem/factory rack. The kit includes "steering adapters and steering rack mounts". If they used a non-oem rack it'd say on the page/blog.

Also, I'm quite certain others have "relocated" the factory rack when swapping other motors...like a 20b.

given Hinson's reputation it's funny a moderator doesn't feel the need to monitor this thread ....
