All these post i keep reading about RELIABILITY are killing me! I have a t2 ported to hell and back that ive had since 05 and neva had any problems out of it other than minor things. Been thru a coil pack and had to replace the fuel pump (which i shoulda done from the beggining) I got my rx8 in 05, it is now 08... i havent had any problems outa my 8 either. and its boosted! after i finished my t2 project i got a 92 d.a. integra and did the xsi swap. thats a b16 engine and trani from a 94 and up civic si. i had that car for every bit of 4 months before it blew up on me in the middle of a race with my buddys ek b18 hatch. turns out it dropped a valve and put a hole in the piston the size of a nickel! (i got pics if u dont believe me, the teg is in my back yard right now rotting away) im not done.... my older brother now has a sr20 gtir motor in a 94 sentra ser. u guys may or may not know but the gtir sr20 DOESNT COME IN THE 94 2DR SENTRA... it is only offered in japan in a "nissan sunny"..someone please ask me why he got the gtir.... cuz he blew up his sr20 that was previously in the car! what ive learned about that magic word RELIABILITY is that it has alot to do with the user. which means any motor can be UNRELIABLE in the right hands. So stop bashing my beloved rotary motors with the reliability issues cuz what it probably boils down to is alot of u guys dont follow instructions well and prob dont do enough research to prevent screwing stuff up. Mazda made it very clear how to take care of these cars. I hope this guys swap goes well and its pretty cool cuz its a rare swap. and from what i understand he had some bad luck with his renesis so hopefully the sr20 will do him better.

so i got in the fuel line today i should be installing it tomorrow. I decided to kinda go the cheap route for now because i know im going to change everything later anyway just because thats how i am. i have cut the factory aluminum line 2' from the firewall right before the cross member i built to mount the trans.( pictures comin on that i promise) Im going to flare the alum. line and run a steel braided rubber line to the passenger side . im also doing this to the rear brake lines. my reason for this is that the intake and exhaust on the sr are on different sides. I dont want my fuel and brake fluid traveling about 6mm away from my turbo outlet. So im going to route the lines in the same way the factory ones were just on the other side. im going to run the battery cables on the pass. side as well.
and dammit dammit dammit! i bought a cheap type s bov with a flange..its a knock off and i only paid 30$ for the whole deal. But turns out the flange is aluminum and my charge pipes are friggin steel. so if anyone wants to trade a nice aluminum greddy flange for a steel one that would kick *** lol. more tomorow

Sweet, good job on the progress... no shame in getting a knock off to hold you over... FOR NOW... as long as you plan on getting the real deal later, that's cool.
