And you just finished the Paris-Dakaar?

Could use a sweeping....

Looks like a lot of work, it's very tight to the firewall.

Which engine management did you utilize?

I like the Mazda badge on the valve cover.

try a 20b guy and see what happens.

anyway this has been discussed before, its nice that someone actually did it. nice work, did you do it yourself? have you dynoed it? what kind of #s are you putting down? does it feel different (handeling) from the renny? do the stock gauges work? if you have pics from the build you should post em.

nice job, but i still love my under powered renny

actually this car uses two ECUs ... one is its own that manages the car and the other is of sr20 for the engine ... everything on this car works including speedometer, ABS, airbags , pushstart .... only traction control does not work ... yes it feels different than a renny: more powerful with loads of grip .... though i would give a slight edge to rotary in handling ... i have driven a few rx8s with 1jzgte and 2jzgte swaps, it is light years better than them.

actually its very common to swap rx8 over here with toyota engines usually 1jzgte .... the closer the engine is to the firewall the better is the weight distribution and handling otherwise it becomes nose heavy and tails easily

Nah. Engines move side-to-side under load.
If it isn't touching, it isn't close.

That sucks, that would drive me nuts. But either way, it's a sick swap. since the traction control doesn't work doe sit affect anything else? I thought the ABS would be affected.

It's quite easy to make the traction control work, if you want it to. I have it on my car, granted I'm still rotary, and I'm using aftermarket engine management

That is a bad *** swap... I love the Mazda logo on the valve cover like Jeff mentioned lol. I'm sure there are Mazda and Nissan guys cringing at this swap, but I think its brilliant.

Since the OE PCM is still in place to control the EPS and cluster, the ABS and TCS/DSC can also be retained.
That is the route I'll be following with the F20C swap.

So you are going with the F20C over the F22C1? Was that a cost decision?

f20c f22c .... sounds like a great idea .... this project took almost an year to complete and iron out all the wrinkles .... running absolutely problem free for 6000km, using it as a daily runner.
