any idea?

hi, today I was topping off my oil level as i do every couple of weeks, noticed a white thick liquid on the oil level check stick cleaned it up and went back to measure it again and i still get the white stuff (I can still measure my oil level but this stuff is all around it). any idea???!!!! check pics

If you want you can have mazda insert a tube that will stop the condensation from collecting on the stick. It was a free service a year ago.

It still should be free, I just had it done 2 months ago when I got my oil changed... Researched it, pulled the TSB, then brought it in to the dealership with the TSB "strategically" placed up on the passengers seat. Once the tube is installed, no more problems.

Cept now my tube insert is sliding out whenever i check my oil.

Right now I just shove it back in the tube. but ill have to check with the dealer if thats bad or not lol.

I checked my oil over the weekend and was wondering the same thing and found out it was normal. You should be able to insert and remove the dip stick several times and the frothy/foamy stuff will be gone....

This was the first time I checked my oil since I bought the car (1600 miles) and the oil was pretty low. I put nearly two quarts of mobile 1 synthetic 5W-20 in there and that didn't top it off....

I'm under the impression that synthetic oil is bad for the Renesis.
