April TWR Drive - Spring Carbon Cleaning
29 April
Spring time is here, which means we're seeing generally warming weather. It's time to take our cars and clean out all that nasty winter carbon build-up. April will be taking us further west than we've been before. We're heading out to Pacific Beach, just north of Ocean Shores. The meeting place and start of the route are still to be determined, as are the last few turns at the end. Mostly, the start depends on where we want to drive from, Shelton, Olympia, or Tacoma. I'm pretty sure I can keep us on decent stuff no matter where we start.
Put the Spring Carbon Cleaning on your calendar. As usual, the details are posted at The-Windig-Road

The 22nd is my brother's b-day, so I really can't go on all day drive. I'd tell him to tag along (bought himself a Firebird today) he'll be wanting be as close to TV's with the NFL draft on them as he can. With all the time you two are spending "out of town" one might get the impression you don't like it here.

I've already pushed the invite out to several other boards so changing it would create a lot of confusion. I also promised myself I'd do one of these every month. I'll be planning a May drive any way.

Looks like the meeting place and start of the route haven't been determined yet though. On longer drives like this, some of us usually caravan to the meeting place, so just keep checking this thread for more details as it gets closer to the 29th and we'll probably be deciding what to do.

I'll post the meeting place and the beginning of the route in the morning. I finally got it figured out last night, but haven't the opportunity to update the page. I've also got a good idea for a mid trip stop, but I need to check a couple more things on that.

The start and end of the route are finished, and the Yahoo! overview map is posted. I'll be doing flip-card style maps for this run, but if you want one, please sign up at The Spring Carbon Cleaning Event Page.

I SHOULD, "Should" be ready to go. I've got company coming early May, so there have been renovations and much re-organization lately. Shouldn't have an impact though yeah Count me in, with just a small caveat. Just in case I get too wrapped up. But I'll need a navigator for sure!
