Bigfoot Bash - 9/24 and 9/25 - Two locations - Tons of Drifitng - Volunteers Wanted!
I think these are the last two drifting events in the NW area for this year. They're going all out with a back to back Friday at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe then Saturday at Pacific GP in Kent. I'll be shooting photos at both of these events.
The guys who run the events at Evergreen really need some more help at the events, whether it's just running grid or chasing cones (it's critical, but not as big of a deal as it is at autocrosses) it basically gets you in for free and it's literally the best seat in the house. No experience is necessary, they'll train you on how to use the radios, what certain calls mean, etc. Just register on motorsportsreg.com and get in touch with Russell, he'll let you know what to do.
These events are all grassroots level and the people who make it happen are just pouring in their time because they love it. They don't require you to work the full time while you're there, so you can spend sometime hanging out and just enjoying the event as well. If anyone's experienced being hit by gravel at a rally event in one of the galleries, this is the next best thing!
If any of you can make it out to Saturday's event at PGP, I think if you have a helmet, bring it. If you pay an extra $10 for insurance someone out there will surely take you for a ride along.
I sure hope Shin hits up the drift school next year so we can get some RX-8 representation out there.

There was only one brave soul out there with a rotary last time:
