COUVE TO COAST 2006 !! Be there

Hey everyone. Ok so its summer time and we need to have a nice cruise / meet for everyone to enjoy.

Meet in going to be held on JULY 1st 2006 at the Vancouver Mall in Vancouver, Washington. its super easy to find (right off the 205 freeway and hwy 503). I want everyone there before 11:00 am. We will be leaving at 11:30ish. We will be going to Long beach in Washington, and then heading back to Portland via hwy 30 on the Oregon side. There are maps and info on the site linked below with much more information.

and i know that some of your arent big fans of having multi car meets. if thats the case then thats fine, no need to post anything on here. this thread is only for people that are interested in attending.

Ok... so here are some details.

Im trying ot get people together for a nice cruise to the Beach. Im thinking about 1-2 hours of driving and a day at the beach having fun and enjoying the sun.

Im planning to have a couple groups attending. Including rx7's & rx8's, Evos, Sti's & wrx's, 3000gt's & stealth's, s2000's, srt4's, and 240's. there will most likely be more of a variety there, but thats what im planning on so far. and like i said. if your not down for having any of the following groups there. then please dont banter the thread. this is just a way to get people together to enjoy looking at cars and have some fun... not a competition of whats better.

So anyway, grab the kids... pack the beachball, and lets go to the beach for a day.

I have posted up a page on my site with all the neccessary info. So just check out the link below for everything you need to know. Please post up on here if you are interested in attending. as i will be starting a guest list on the webpage.

depending on the timing, Stick could be bringing something special to play

well its a bit more driving but you could always cut over and meet us in longview. we will be stopping for a bit there before heading out to the beach. we are planning to stop at the end of industrial way near where it ties into hwy 4. and we will have our walkie talkings turned on so you should be able to hear when we get near. that way you can go with us on the drive out.

Thanks,
chris

I'd like to join...have wanted to try a group drive for a while now. My RX8 is scratched up on the front corner which I need fixed, so it won't be the prettiest but I'd still like to go.

I'll be going as long as we can find a babysitter for the littlest one. Don't have enough room for everyone.

But I get to go!!!!

Hey everyone, just a little recap here for people.

Meeting up at the Vancouver Mall JC penney parking lot.

Meet up time will be Anytime before 11:00 AM. (I will be there around 10-10:30)

Leave time will be around 11:30 ish.

Anyone who wants food is welcome to bring a cooler with some snacks, drinks, etc, & there are plenty of places around Long Beach to grab a bite to eat if you dont feel like bringing a cooler.

We are only planning to make one stop on the way up to long beach. we will be stopping on the outskirts of longview near the junction to hwy 4. there is a long stretch of road where we can all pull over and gather up just incase anyone gets seperated when heading through longview.

***** Also a note... we have changed the route through longview slightly. instead of taking the route posted we will be taking industrial hwy.

Ok if anyone has any questions about anything please feel free to email me. Supermacnum1@aol.com

Thanks a lot and hope to see you all there.

Chris

also for NEMESIS8... if you would like to meet up with us in longview then you can catch us getting onto industrial hwy or you can get us getting off. we will be stopped right outside of town getting onto hwy 4 for a while. we will be on radio channel 1 to start out and then cycleing up 1 by 1 if any interference is caught. so start on channel 1 and listen for us. we should be pretty damn easy to spot though as long as your in the right spot.

we should be in longview around 12-12:30. depending on how promptly we leave the mall.

Hope you guys have a good time. I went to put gas in this morning before heading out to the meet and my tire pressure light came on. Picked up a nail! Just my luck. Anyway, it took over an hour to get in and get it fixed, so I missed you guys (I actually drove through about 11:15 on my way to the tire place to check out the cars). I'll be at the next meet/drive though.

Hey everyone glad to see that most of you made it out today. It was a pretty nice turnout. about 20 or so cars in all. everyone seemed to have a pretty nice time and the weather was just great.

I will be trying to put on drives like this every month or so, and i will be sure to post up some info on the next run we do shortly.

Thanks to everyone that showed up and made it a great day.

hey Aipex8, sorry you didnt get to tag along. we waited around for a while for ya but i guess it just took to long for your tire to get fixed. hopefully everything goes good for you on the next drive.

^ya what he said. And they told us that they got us with lazer but I had no detector warning and I have no front plate and I was the car in front. Interestink! Any ideas how they could've gotten around my passport 8500? I thought these things were some of the best in the industry. I have never been let down before. Do you think they really hit us with lazer?

No they did not get you with laser, but you'll never prove it. The passports pick up lidar at a mile, while the effective range of lidar is a quarter mile. If they'd actually pinged you, you'd know it. Occasionaly the VG2 Gaurd will shut down Radar (X, K, and Ka band), but you'll know about that too. It's more likely he was using a speed computer (no radio emissions what so ever) and didn't feel like explaining what that was. It's basically a complicated odemeter+stopwatch device they are starting to use more often.

Sorry to here about the tickets
