What's up everyone? I've been roaming these forums for an awfully long time now researching the RX-8 and reading your feedback. I recently graduated from Idaho and am likely going to purchase a pre-owned 8 this morning. I just wanted to say hi, and I'm looking forward to contributing to these boards.

Warning: You have posted an intent to own an RX-8. Once you have the car you must post details as to the color, options, modifications, driving impressions, pictures, reactions from cute members of the opposite sex, etc. Failure to meet these requirements will result in excessive flamage.
In other words, welcome to the cult. :D :D :D

The deed has been done. I am the proud new owner of a Winning Blue GT. I took it for a second test drive today, and it blew my mind.... again. Taking a 30 mph off-ramp at 70 mph is one hell of an experience (note: I don't always drive this way, but it was a test drive :D ). Plenty of get up and go for me, and I love the purr of the engine. No mods as of yet, but eventually I will get the MS body kit. Naturally, the first thing to go are the clashing orange corners; I'll spend a little time at work tonight finding a good deal on clear ones. Pictures will be on the way as soon as I pick the car up in the morning. To park at my work a permit and sticker are needed, so I had to drive in my crusty old Buick. Needless to say, I'm pretty facking excited for tomorrow morning!
As for the girlz, I've got a date with a very nice and attractive pre-med student tomorrow. I'll let you know what she thinks

I will surely try to make it, but it depends on which shift I am working.
I put about 200 miles on the car between yesterday morning and now, and each time I drive it I enjoy the experience more than the time before. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase; this is definitely the right car for me. My roommate and I just got back from test-driving both an EVO and an STI and I was unimpressed by both. The 8 is leagues ahead as far as comfort and styling (interior and exterior), which is much more important to me than straight line acceleration. I'm going to find some excuse to go on a road trip.
