Was @ U Mazda for some work...

1) Oil dipstick was changed out a few months ago with the updated one with the insert, I was concerned that when I check my oil the insert slides out and in VERY easily, they said not to worry about it, it wont hurt anything and theres nothing for them to secure that insert to, so it floats.

2) Both defrost buttons on the heater control were cracked, the same crack on both sides in the same spot, they ordered a new panel and will call me when it gets in...

3) Leak in the trunk, after drying it out I determined it wasnt me accidently pressing the trunk button at night letting rain in, I took it in (With standing water in the little tool cubby) and they determined that the base of the spoiler AND the 3rd brake light were not properly sealed, they wanted to keep it overnight for the silicon to set but I had appointments to goto, and so they were going to give me a loaner, like a cheap protege or something, I declined mentioning that I didnt pay for a 30K car to drive a crappy loaner, now if you have a MS6 or Miata, yea ill take that, but they didnt so I got my car and I need to check it for leaks when the silicon sets in 24 hours.

4) Seat squeek, its there, and still there aparently at least for UMazda, the warranty was up @ 12K for things like that. So Im SOL on that.

5) I checked on the price for a 20b Block.. not too horrible (as far as I know) still will wait for warranty to be up and pay off my car a bit more, and also would check salvage yards or online and the LCD they wanted $3000.00 for just the LCD unit

 

So... a dealership did a price check on a 20b block?
