Its supposed to be a happy new year? Well i got rear ended on the first day of the new years. I was ****!!! but after looking at my car and the ford focus? i guest it is!!! i need a new bumper, but the ford focus needs all the front end replace! my bumper got crack in one place, the focus needs to be told home! i am looking at this from a hold different view, sense i almost lost my life four years ago, were i broke my neck in two places like christopher reed (superman) in a car accident drunk driving and yet i am still alive and walking. this past year a got promoted to manager, and got my rx8 and most important my wife is doing great after a metal break down she had! i wander if this is a way for me to see all that o got! and to appreciate what i got! i am said this because on the last day of the new year i was at work and i got this pain in my upper back close to my neck, well i taut i was going to call for an ambulance and today this? make me appreciate what i got!!! i taut i had to share this with someone!

p.s. i have not touch a drop of alcohol in 4 years!!!!

Sorry to hear about the accident. Well the insurance will get you a new rear bumper, what counts is that the both of you are ok. Hopefully the new year will bring you some luck, and that turbo/super charger that I know you want =)

That sucks! And here I was just pissed off because I got stood up twice New Year's Eve, by my boyfriend who blew me off to go duck hunting again (I swear I'm going to shove his rifle up his *** and see how quick he is to want to go hunting again) and then by my ex, who said he would take me out to dinner and then never bothered to pick me up, call, or answer his phone when I called to find out where he was.

At least my car is fine, totally filthy, but still fine.

Sounds like last year was awesome, of course you needed a counterpoint to start the new year off. Raise a glass of virgin bubbly in hopes the rest of the year goes better than the beginning.

Congrats on the sobriety, pal. Keep up the good work.

BunnyGirl, you BF is beginning to sound a bit like a chump.

He now claims that he never went to the beach to go duck hunting after all (had to track him down at work since he wouldn't answer his phone), but that since I got mad at him on Saturday, he didn't quite know what to say so he was hiding from me. LOL! I didn't know I was that scary. I suppose it's good to know he fears me.

I was told it was that ethanol evaporation thing that essentially locked it up and since it is basically fine now, that it has worked itself out. The only time it's not "fine" is when the car hasn't warmed up yet and it's pretty cold outside, but it's still nothing like it was doing. Now it just feels stiffer and notchier than at warmer temperatures, but essentially like last year, although I got my car at the end of March and I only had to drive it at "cold" temperatures twice, so my comparison is limited. There isn't a problem getting it into gear at all now. Oddly though, that "ethanol evaporation" didn't occur in the really warm weather we had. It started in the two days the dealership had it to do my recall, when it was still in the 60s. Maybe their driving style for the testing helped trigger it?
