New RX8 owner in Eugene. Bought a 2004 with 52K on the clock in Lightning Yellow. This is replacing my '87 MR-2.
Will be having questions, but need to spend some time forum surfing first, and searching for threads.
Nice to see at least a few inmates from the Great NorthWET!

Add me to the "head count", just picked up an '04 with 34.5k on it here in Spokane on Sunday. Not the best pic of the car, but you all know what they look like. This thing is awesome, love the handling and it's amazingly comfortable and roomy.

Hey guys! Portland here.
New to the forums but spent the last few days combing every newbie thread I could...placed a deposit on a 05 Shinka yesterday. Immaculate condition, engine felt great on the test drive. Had the owner bring it in for a compression test today, and it apparently failed...so now it may be in line for a reman engine. Pretty bummed, and not sure if I still want it. Do still forsee an 8 in the future...Just thought I'd say hello! Hope to join the club soon.

Welcome, I have an 8, love it. Sadly, it's time to find a new car though..may keep it, we'll see. Re: mechs, It may cause some ruffled feathers on here but I've had good luck with U Mazda in the U District. I go through Paul there.. and he's been very honest with me, not selling me things I don't need and they've done a great job with things. I went to them last when my drivers door wouldn't open... apparently a spring in the door broke..they had to take the whole panel off - from the inside! I like em.
There's also a place in the south end that's supposed to be good called Jerry's Little Car Shop, I've not tried them though..
