Erik, a follow up note. I have done a little additional research on the rig you are looking at and wanted to share the info.

The Shinka Special Edition is in short supply at the moment. They had a fire in the plant that makes them and it will be several months before production is up an running. Most dealers at the retail level are charging over MSRP. Herzog is charging $4,000 over....ouch.

Royal Moore has 3 inbound and the price Steve quoted you is the best price I can get. I don't work with Steve but at the moment Royal Moore is one of the only ones with any of these coming in. And invoice on this rig is the best I can get.

Erik, I can't save you any money on this rig, so you might as well have Steve lock this vehicle up for you. To work with me I would need to charge you my $300 fee. Since I don't work with Steve I don't know if he will try and change things at the end or simply sell you the car. One thing I would do for SURE is get him to give you a VIN number and a confirmation letter or email. Many dealers will tell someone they are getting them a car and know they don't have any idea where the car is coming from. They just want to get someone off the market.

My Royal Moore contact says he can lock one of these up for you and I, but your not going to see them for about 30 days.

I apologize for not being able to save you any money. This situation is rare but when it happens I like to simply give you the straight information.

Again I would be happy to work with you, but your sharp enough you don't need Uncle Jim's help with this vehicle and going direct would save you $300.00.

Not sure how this information will effect our test drive. I can call and set it up for you, or I can still come out and we can go together.

So true. Well, while I'd like the Shinka, I'm thinking it best to go with the GT w/Nav (man I need the gadgets!). As far as the suspension differences, I can pretty much sort that out once I become more adept. Is that generally what people have been doing??
